You will be conveniently transported straight from the airport to the front door of your hotel in an easy and efficient manner. Trust me, you need all the help you can get on that very first day. Jet lag is no joke, and feeling like a zombie on your first day is a total buzzkill. Think of this like a cherry on top of your delicious travel sundae (and who doesn’t love a good sundae?). So, let’s dive in!

Introducing the Airport Limousine Bus

I wrote a comprehensive post of all-you-need-to-know-about-the-Airport-Limousine-Bus in case you are interested in using this transport mode for your trip : one for the Haneda Airport bus, and one for the Narita Airport bus.

What is the Airport Limousine Bus ?

  • The Airport Limousine Bus, or let’s call it ALB for short, is the way to go if you’re looking for an easy and hassle-free ride to and from Narita International Airport, Haneda International Airport, and other major hubs in Tokyo. Especially with heavy luggage in tow.
  • It’s a big, comfy bus that’s hard to miss with its white-and-orange color scheme. Plus, it’s got plenty of space for your luggage, and sweet amenities onboard like free Wi-Fi and charging ports.
  • No need to stress about buying tickets either – you can do it online ahead of time or at the airport.
  • And with multiple daily schedules, you can hop on and off at various Tokyo locations. Adult ticket is for 3,200 yen, and Child ticket is for 1,600 yen. Believe me, your wallet and your body will thank you.

  • Simply give your ticket and luggage to the staff at the bust stop right outside the Arrivals terminal. They will store your suitcases for you, leaving your hands free to enter the bus, pick a seat, and relax until your arrival at your hotel or desired stop. Doesn’t this sound nice?

Benefits of Using the Airport Limousine Bus

Want to know why you should hop on the Airport Limousine Bus to get from Narita Airport to Tokyo? Let me give you 6 reasons.

Reason # 1 : Easy and Convenient Access at the Airport

Getting to the Airport Limousine Bus counter and bus stop from the airport is a piece of cake. It’s right there in the Arrivals area of both Terminal 1 and 2, so you won’t have to wander around lost looking for it.

Reason # 2 : Availability

Fear not! There are plenty of buses running all day long, every 30 minutes or every hour. So even if you miss your scheduled ride, there’s always another one just around the corner.

Reason # 3 : Many Pick-up and Drop-off Locations and Stops across Tokyo

The ALB has pickup and drop-off locations all over Tokyo, including many hotels. No need to lug your suitcases around the crowded train stations like a pack mule.

If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo, why not make your life easier by booking a room at one of the hotels listed on the ALB’s official website? You’ll be able to catch a bus straight to and from the airport, no fuss, no muss. And bam! You got both your airport-to-hotel and hotel-returning-to-airport logistics figured out and done. This is the main purpose of this post, and I will discuss more on it below.

Reason # 4 : Hassle-free and Hands-free Transport

And let’s not forget about the best part: no stress or hassle! Just hand over your ticket and let the staff take care of your luggage. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Reason # 5 : Rest and Relaxation

And speaking of relaxation, taking the bus means you can catch up on some much-needed rest after your long flight. Beat that pesky jet lag and start your adventure off on the right foot.

Reason # 6 : Economical Choice for After-hour Travel

So, picture this : you’re landing in Japan at some ungodly hour, and all of the trains have already shut down for the night (or aren’t even running yet). And don’t even get me started on the price of a taxi – it’s enough to make you want to cry. No worry – the ALB is here to save the day (or rather, the night). It’s a no-brainer and might just be your only option.

Where Could I Find a List of All Airport Limousine Bus Stops in Japan?

  • The official Airport Limousine Bus website displays a comprehensive list of all the bus stops you could possibly need here.
  • And when I say all, I mean ALL. We’re talking about every single bus stop in the 23 wards of Tokyo, plus those outside the wards in Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Gumma, Tochigi, and Ibaraki prefectures. It’s like a bus-stop bonanza!
  • You’ll find stops near train stations, bus terminals, hotels (or right at the front doors of hotels), Disneyland, and other popular destinations across Tokyo.

Choosing Your Perfect Hotel with Airport Limousine Bus Access and Direct Stop

1 . Find your Ideal Location

Before you dive into the endless sea of hotel options, it’s time to zoom out and get a big picture on which area is going to be your main base in Tokyo. This is where you want your hotel to be in.

Start by checking out the different areas of your destinations. Do you want to be in the heart of Shinjuku or Shibuya’s bustling energy? Or do you prefer the quiet and serene surrounding area of Senso-ji in Asakusa?

Each spot has its own vibe, so take your time to find the one that speaks to your soul.

2 . Stay Close to the Actions

Alright, you know what they say : Location, location, location! Picking the perfect hotel in Tokyo, Japan is like finding the secret ingredient to make your adventure go from good to absolutely phenomenal.

  • You don’t wanna wake up in the morning, walk out of your hotel and be miles from all the actions. Ain’t nobody got time for that! So, when you’re choosing where to stay, think about how close it is to all the must-see attractions and landmarks on your list.
  • Being close to everything means you won’t waste your precious time commuting from one end of the city to the other. You can spend more time living your best life, eating all the street food and discovering hidden gems tucked away in the city’s charming alleyways.
  • And don’t forget, pick a hotel that’s near public transport too. Sure, the airport limousine bus is a good start, but you want to be able to jump on a train or a subway and explore more than just the immediate area. Being close to the train station or subway will make your life so much easier.
  • Another benefit of being centrally located is that you can easily pop back to your hotel to freshen up. Need a power nap or a wardrobe change before hitting the town? No biggie! You can be back in your cozy abode in a jiffy, feeling like a boss and ready for the next adventures.

3 . Choose Your Hotel Based on Your Budget

Some of the hotels which are direct stops on the Airport Limousine Bus route are quite luxurious. If you can afford the price, awesome! You are going to love them.

For those of you whose budgets do not allow splurging on fancy hotels, don’t let anyone teIl you that you have to choose between comfort and affordability. Figure out your hotel price range, and do some research using the desired range.

  • There are many budget-friendly hotels all around the ALB-direct-stop fancy hotels. They are clean, with good comfy beds, friendly and efficient hotel staff, and only a few minutes walk away from the Airport Limousine Bus stop, and will leave both your wallet and your wanderlust happy.
  • You also don’t have to be a moneybags to find a great hotel. Just do a little digging a few months in advance, and you’ll find some hidden gems that offer amazing early-booking discounted rates (By booking months in advance, I was able to pay 40 to 50% cheaper compared to what I would have paid if booking the same hotels in the same month of my trip).
  • Also, keep an eye out for deals and discounts that hotels or booking websites often offer throughout the year. Who knows, you might snag a sweet promotion that leaves you with more money to spend on sushi and souvenir

4 . Select Hotel with the Amenities You Need

While you’re searching for that perfect hotel, keep an eye out for those amenities that make your heart skip a beat.

Do you need a spa day after exploring all day? Or a rooftop bar with a killer view? Or a huge breakfast buffet spread including both Japanese food and international selections? Or self-service washer and dryer for your laundry? (this has great benefit!)

Whatever floats your boat, find that hotel that makes your soul happy.
